Fine artist, teacher, and author, Vladimir London, shares tips for using our Neptune™ Synthetic Squirrel Dagger Striper Brush (size 1/4″).

“This is one of my favorite Princeton brushes.  Its long pointed tip, in combination with a fuller belly, allows long thin lines to be turned into wider brushstrokes in one hand movement.

I use this brush for painting organic matter such as tree branches, foliage, undergrowth, bushes, and grass.

The free-bending tip on this brush produces very natural marks that cannot be imitated with any other brush in the same manner.  When changing direction of a brushstroke, the Dagger gives nice-looking variations of line thickness from very slim to surprisingly wide strokes.  Organic-looking tree foliage can be painted with dabbing touches of this brush.”
