Anna Gruca: Colorful Crystal Paintings

Anna Gruca is a Poland-born visual artist based out of Toronto, Canada. Inspired particularly by crystals and gems, she uses acrylic paints on large canvas to capture the color and radiance of the stones.
She has been creating art in various forms since childhood; she holds a double major in Fine Arts and Psychology from York University, and a B.Ed. degree from the University of Toronto. Her work has been showcased in a number of Ontario exhibits over the years. Presently, she works as a full-time artist, high school art teacher, and entrepreneur.
Anna also owns a business called Cool Art Ideas, the mission of which is “to bring the fun back into art education and learning for every age group”. Cool Art Ideas is a monthly art kit subscription, which provides its artists with tools, supplies, and step-by-step project instructions.
Anna offers a quick tip for using our Select Artiste brushes: “I really love using the Select Flat Shaders – they have been giving me incredibly crisp and smooth edges – and of course, the Select Liners. My crystal paintings have a lot of tiny little details which I can easily get with the liners; they have actually allowed me to get more detailed with my paintings then some of my previous work.”
