Kessler is an artist, traveler, and social media marketer living in California. She grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Southern California to attend UC Santa Barbara where she earned a BA in Psychology and a minor in Art History. Art history quickly became an important part of her life and she has visited dozens of art museums and galleries to see the hundreds of paintings she studied during her time in college.
Growing up with an artistic mom meant her love for art and creativity was cultivated early in life. She started painting as soon as she could hold a paintbrush. In college, she started taking art more seriously and began a series of hyper-realistic graphite portraits and started to publish her art for the first time on Instagram.
After a few years of drawing portraits, she took a short break from art when she graduated from college in 2016 and moved to San Diego. During this time, she began to make weekend trips to the thrift shop to pick up her favorite vintage apparel – denim. From there she combined her love of denim with her love of art history and painting to create unique, wearable works of art on sustainable denim. She now sells these jeans on her website and even opens custom orders a few times a year where customers can send in their jeans to be painted on.
Art has always been her biggest passion, but travel recently became just as important. Not only does she get a thrill experiencing new places and cultures, but travel also takes her to museums in places like Paris, Spain, and London where some of the most famous paintings in the world are displayed.
